iScreen Earns 4.5/5 in GeekRar Review: The Best iPhone Customization App?
Technology site GeekRar has published a detailed iScreen review, rating the app 4.5 out of 5 stars under the headline “The Best iPhone Customization App for Widgets, Wallpapers & Themes?” Written by Ruby Singh, the review sets out to determine whether iScreen deserves the title of best iPhone customization app — and concludes that it comes very close.
What Makes the Best iPhone Customization App?
The review’s central finding is that iScreen’s all-in-one approach is its strongest argument. Instead of managing separate apps for widgets, wallpapers, icons, and themes, users get one library covering iPhone, iPad, and Android. The platform currently offers more than 10,000 themes, 5,000+ app icons, and 1,000+ widgets, alongside wallpapers, Dynamic Island customization, charging animations, and DIY wallpaper tools.
The widget selection ranges from practical displays — weather, battery, calendar, countdown, digital clock, photos, to-do lists, notes, and step counting — to interactive panels, music, and games.
Themes, Wallpapers, and Icons That Work Together
Complete themes are highlighted as the feature that makes iScreen the best iPhone customization app for non-designers: wallpaper, icons, and widgets designed to work together from the start, in styles including minimalist, colorful, black-and-pink, AI artwork, and paper-cut. Wallpapers include 4K aesthetic backgrounds and iOS 26 Depth Effect designs, while DIY templates — Polaroid-style, heart puzzles, flip cards, and animated marquee effects — let users create their own instead of downloading a pre-made design.
Dynamic Island and Interactive Features
Nine Dynamic Island options are covered in the review: Pet Island, Plant Island, Animation Island, Weather Island, Panel Island, Calendar Island, Signature Island, Launcher Island, and Timer Island. Interactive widgets such as to-do check-ins, Whack-a-Mole, and arcade games run without opening the app, and couple and social widgets share messages, photos, distance, weather, and mood between users.
The Verdict: 4.5/5
The review awards 4.5 out of 5 overall, with full marks for design and variety, widgets, wallpapers, and themes and icons. It notes the free version’s ads and Apple’s system-level limitations as trade-offs, while pointing to the App Store’s 4.7/5 rating from around 148,000 ratings as evidence of a substantial user base.
Its conclusion on the best iPhone customization app question: “Yes — especially if you enjoy customizing your phone.” As the review puts it, “One app. One library. One place to customize your phone.”
